Wow. Just, wow.
Inspired by the local materials and culture of Mahabalipuram, an Indian fishing village, American Artist Janet Echelman creates volumetric fishing net sculptures that could be the scale of a large building but remain light enough to ripple in the wind, constantly reshaping the net and creating ever-changing patterns.

For those of you following my 2012CreativeProject, I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Various things have kept me from spending much time online (including an evil bout of food poisoning and the flu) and my Droid has all but died on me. Fret not my friends! I have still been working on my Creative Bucket List and creating various new pieces of art/writing/pictures to share. Now I must find the time to load them.
Don’t forget to submit your own 2012CreativeProject pieces to be shared with everyone!

I previously mentioned that one of my projects I’d like to complete prior to my August 1 birthday is to run a half marathon in under 01:50:00. Today I ran 5 miles in 00:37:57 (per Nike tracker). Sub-9 minute miles equals a big accomplishment. I’m on my way!
Check out these awesome photos by my friend C.J. McCorkle submitted as part of her 2012CreativeProject!

Ugh, as much as I hate this bitch, I love that fight scene. (Topheriskris)
… Agreed. Scarlett is annoying, but damn this was a bad ass fight scene. Chloe Moretz in “Kick-Ass” is better.
